DIVERSIONS
Bridge Demise – diversion south of Boarding House

Location: Between Boarding House and Beavis Campsites

A 1km section of the Bibbulmun Track is closed due to the demise of Wirraway Bridge caused by a bushfire. A 3.2km diversion is in place.

The original route will remain closed until the bridge is repaired. For your safety DO NOT enter the closed area due to falling trees. Stay on the marked diversion and follow all signage or instructions from Parks and Wildlife staff.

Walkers should take extreme caution along the short section on Palings Road as it is used by heavy vehicles.

Campfire ban – Donnelly River

Location: Donnelly River Village to Pemberton

Campfire bans are now in place at all campsites along this entire section including:

- Tom Road
- Boarding House
- Beavis
- Beedelup
Walkers will need to use their fuel stoves.

Campfire bans are usually in force until at least March, and sometimes April, along the entire length of the Bibbulmun Track. During campfire bans, walkers are not permitted to light any campfires or wood operated stoves and should carry a fuel stove. Campfire bans are lifted based on weather and other conditions.

During the summer months, when bushfires are a very real danger, a total fire ban may be declared. On these days, walkers are not permitted to light any fires whatsoever including lighting a fuel stove.

Damaged Bridge Diversion – Beedelup

Location: North of Beedelup campsite

A 5.4km section of the Bibbulmun Track is closed due to significant bridge damage caused by a large fallen tree.

A temporary 3.7km diversion is in place along Carey Road.

The original route will remain closed until the bridge can be repaired.

Walkers should be aware of vehicles travelling along Carey Road.

For your safety stay on the marked diversion, adhere to and follow all signage and instructions from Parks and Wildlife staff.
